YES
NO!
Indeed... it was quite nice. It was over-priced, but very refreshing... I recall something like $7 (I think it was a 16 ouncer). They actually sold it in the stands... popped the tab on the can and poured it in a cup for you. I'm not saying we sell it in the stands (no need in pushing it in the faces of those who object). But, it would be nice to have a beer or few during the game. I would advocate they stop selling at the end of the 3Q. I would also request that the bathrooms be in tip top shape and not run out of paper towels as I believe the increased beverage consumption will have me frequenting those establishments at a slightly greater clip. I wash my hands at the completion of this task and prefer to exit the facilities with clean AND dry hands.
Cheers and Geaux Cajuns!
Voted yes even though I dont drink.... we typically have 25-30k at the stadium.... but only half that number inside.... anything to bring those folks inside is a good deal to me
I never brought juice into a game but I would like ONE beer to get in gear.
if it "should" be, it (would/will) be ..
Beer is not served at the stadium due to university administration. If they want to make money, sell beer.
The revenue generated from beer sales alone could offset the operation costs of a football gameday and then some. (exaggerated guess)
Not that exaggerated at all. I used modest number in calculating beer sales at Cajun Field. Lets just say we bring in an additional 5000 people into the games who drink beer on top of the 3000 people I figured in earlier. 8000 people drink 3 beers a piece at 7 bucks a pop would equal to $168,000 dollars per game. If we average that many folks and drinks for a five game season like we have this year it would bring in $840,000 bucks.
