I'm pretty sure all of our pitchers have their own warmup song.
A few things:
The J. Geils Song is called Freeze Frame. But it was a good thought.
The team calls him "Big Thunder."
Pitchers, like hitters, choose their music. However, in the top of the ninth if the Cajuns lead, they're playing the fight song (which I think should never be played at a baseball game, but that's just me.)
"Thunderstruck" is a good choice...as is "Fire" by the Crazy World of Arthur Brown.
i admit it is kinda weird to hear the fight song at a baseball game...but i would rather hear that then what they play to our Western neighboring state "deep in the heart of texas".
i was unaware that pitchers choose warm up songs. glad that someone has inside scoop on stuff like that.
i havent been to many other college stadiums for baseball games...but i cant imagine others use the sound bites like we do for certain events. "Bull Durham" clips are always amazing and other such clips bring a nice comedic atmosphere to the event.![]()
I thought the team played a prank on Evan Powell about his song, but I heard he actually picked it.
Funny, but not funny. I don't see how anyone can get pumped up to "My lip gloss is poppin'"...haha
