    I was wondering why hotel prices were sky high. Backed out of going when I priced them.

    New Orleans is a destination town for tourism. The city can put on a conference tourney and multiple other conferences, parties/conventions at the same time. People who come to the city will pay. Now, there are cheaper options. For instance, Metairie and Kenner are great options.

    Ted the _______ Lewis continues to hate his beat. He has always focused not on the good of UL and the SBC, but the weaknesses. Really the whole article was a hatchet job, maybe accurate but still a hatchet job.

    Try Covington. North of the Lake has reasonable rates, or did when I booked my rooms.

    Just left New Orleans last weekend. I've been dozens of times before and I've never seen it so busy. That's crazy considering there were no major events were going on. But this week there was 311 day, this weekend is St. Patrick's Day parades and festivities which is a huge deal there, and a couple major conferences.
