He had nick names for many of his political targets. "Hurricane" Sam Broussard long time sheriff of Iberia Parish. Edwin Edwards was "Chanel No. 5" if I remember correctly. It's wonder he didn't show up "missing". I was very entertaining. He had a PI office at the corner of Jefferson and the throughway _
Who was the "Cochise of St Mary Parish"?

    Yep.

The larger Acadiana gets, the worse and smaller our paper gets.

However, I do have to give Mr. Parrot some praise. He has given us quite a bit of UL and SBC stuff lately, during the dead season no less.

Still, the paper is a shell of what it used to be even just 15 years ago.

I don't remember but it must have been the sheriff over there. He probably had a run in with him doing his PI work. He had names for other people but I can't remember them.

Puggy ran for governor in the early 70's and got about 6000 or 7000 votes(he must have had something on them). During a debate he accused Edwin Edwards of being a homosexual. Edwin walked over and planted a big juicy one on his cheek. That left "Ole Puggy" speechless.

Anyhow you know you are from Lafayette if you are sick and tired of River Ranch and the Ranch Davidians that populate the place. You have to wonder what it is that makes people pay $2.50 for something that is worth $1.00. I dunno.

On one show he said he had proof and whipped out a copy of the National Enquirer.

And the nicknames he threw out...."Hamburger Head" Louie Michot
    Snowballin' Sherman Bernard

You know you are from Lafayette if there is a weekly newspaper that has never written a positive word about UL.
You know you are from Lafayette if there is a weekly newpaper that goes out of its way to praise LSU, its athletic teams, its fans, and never ever finds fault with the flagship.

You drive in all the cardinal directions to get to a point three miles away.

That's great, I was complaining about the way our streets are (un)arragend.

Like everyone else, I thought it was very entertaining, I didn't get some things cause I'm a little young (21), and the LSU A&M stuff got me a little peeved.
