Ryan McCoy's Game is Eye Catching

He did not throw water at Lee, I watched him from the time he was injured and left the bench and sat against the back wall with Daigle.

He injured his ankle and got his pocket picked. When he came out Coach Lee grabbed him by the arm and told him he just should have called a time out. He hopped over to the end of the bench and sat on the floor while the trainer looked at him. He had a bottle of water he was pouring over his head and then he threw the water bottle down on the floor in the bench area. He didn't throw any water at Lee, coach was on the other end of the bench. His behavior was unacceptable, but let's no grow the legend on the internet.

I did see him come out and I saw Lee getting in his ear, I didn't see where he hurt his ankle but regardless of what he did with the bottle of water (I really don't care). Somebody on this team needs to check this guy. Have a player meeting letting every player know that this _____ won't be taken. This team has no leadership, no drive, no energy, nothing.

If we had won, noboby would be talking about this. I could give a rat's butt about McCoy's reaction, right after he screws up, gets yelled at, and does or does not have an ankle injury. McCoy isn't the focal point of this team's issues.

"We play with no emotion"... "he's too emotional"... BooooooooHoooooo!!!!!!

This team just sucks right now. Maybe that won't be the case later in the season... maybe it will. This board is pulling a bigger vacuum than they are.

I agree with everyone's views.

1) McCoy hasn't impressed me at all
2) Lee has always tongue lashed his players right when they get to the bench and that will always be the case
3) Lee needs to work on X's & O's, I never see anyone setting picks or trying to run a real offense
4) We always seem to be outrebounded by 10 or more boards
5) we are a terrible free throw shooting team

I know injuries have hit us hard but this team hasn't had a real gutsy leader in a long time.....and Ryan McCoy isn't the "real McCoy". We need a guy that can get physical and step out and shoot the rock. I am still waiting for that player to appear

McCoy has impressed me at times. Again, he sat out all of last year so I think it will take him time to regain his skills in competition. He has shown good penetration and an ability to handle the ball and distribute. Remember, he was playing pretty well until he went out against Lamar. My biggest problems are stemming from the lack of adaptation from the coaching staff. Coach Lee doesn't run one single form of an offense to help get shooters open and guys available at the post to receive entry passes.

Yelling is something he has done and will do but that doesn't make it the right thing. There are times to get on a player but a lot of times, its a hustle play that they made a mistake and he still crucifies them. These guys these days don't handle that type of stuff well. I love discipline on a team but I think he needs to show restraint at times. There is no reason Barr shouldn't have gotten 20 points on Tuesday. Lee should have found a way to get him to touch the ball EVERY time down the court. When he did, good things happened.

(1) Lee recruits good athletic players,
(2) Says "go out there and play hard", take good shots, win,
(3) And when that doesn't work, yells at them.

Don't know a thing about the basketball team...but....isn't a good coach suppose to motivate his players? This isn't grade school it is college and coaches yell at their players. They expect them to do what they have been taught. They are not hired to baby their players. They should and do demand perfection each and every play....Wasn't at the game, don't know what the young man did or didn't do (all though I believe Cajun T) but there is NEVER a time when disrespecting a coach should be tolerated, no matter how severe the tongue lashing is from the coach. That's life and hey life ain't fair.
