Why is the worst shooter on the team taking the 3-point shot at the buzzer to tie the game?

This same thing happened in the double overtime win at home against Arkansas LR and Payton got lucky and made an ugly shot off of the glass.

Fortunately a crew meeting prevented us from making the 2 hour trip to Bowling Green. I watched it on the net. SOS.

Hopefully we get out of the first round of the tourney and can at least get that elusive 20 win season... Then we must hope for better next year.

We shot the same percentage from the line as WKU. The problem was we shot 36% from the field. A lot of which came right under the basket. Davenport had the worst game I've seen from him. Besides Payton, no one else really showed up. I'm kind of amazed that we kept it as close as we did.

On a side note, I wanted to stab that announcer in the eye with an icepick.

Davenport was flailing around...he isn't very athletic...as a fellow fatty...we suck at basketball. It's not our game. Too much up and down. We do better on the offensive or defensive line...lots of standing around...and flailing around.

Given that Long and Mbamalu were fouled out, and WKU was all over Rimmer like a cheap suit, who else are you gonna give it to? EP is our money guy. He had been shooting 3's well in THIS game [not always, granted].

EP was 2/4 from 3 when he jacked up that three. It looked to me like no one was really open to pass it to and he didn't have much time.

It was a weird shot too...he wasn't able to get set and was hoping one of those guys in the striped shirts pretending to be refs would call a foul on the shot. Can't fault EP for taking that shot...

A couple of Long's fouls were completely his fault and avoidable. Sometimes you just let them score, especially if you are a scorer and a rebounder. Fant owns Long. I just do not see a fix for this mismatch.
