At least we pay our professors and instructors more then the Rednecks at Latech. Not to mention our educators get to enjoy Lafayette instead of rotting in Ruston.

I believe the LaTex coach is a guy named Derek Dooley or maybe Drooley. He makes more like $250K

I feel sorry for Les Miles. If this season goes as bad as Saban's post BCS title season, they will do the same to him. Ask for his head, watch him leave and go to a SEC rival and they will make shirts saying Les is less or some catchy BR slogan like they have for Saban. Les made a huge mistake staying at LSU. It took 5 mediocre years and 4 straight losses at Ohio State for Lloyd Carr to be villified. In Baton Rouge it takes only one. Michigan is his home, but he opted to stay at LSU for some odd reason. I guess he thinks he has a "damn strong team" this year even though his jailbird QB flew the coop. Im predicting 4 losses but knowing LSU and the annual 4 leaf clover they have stuck up their butts they could possibly win the SEC West but get thrashed in the SEC title game. Here is hoping to a 6 loss season for LSU and a bowl berth for UL to get those ole corndog U fans on our side for once. New turf, new prez, new attitude! Go Cajuns!!

Dolley is listed here at 350K.

He probably pulls in a little more than half a million.

Remember, he now has the AD title. That's a way of giving him more money because I'm sure he doesn't do most of the AD work himself.

Great listing Doc! I think in the near future we will close the gap in pay for Full Professors and Instructors! Coaches pay will increase soon and so will the number of wins.

This is why I thought his salary was lower than 350K. Just an FYI on the subject of Dooley and LaTex.

"Dooley’s five-year contract, signed in January 2007, included a total salary package of $1,925,000 — making him the highest paid Tech football coach in school history.

That deal calls for a base of $200,000 in each of the five years, with salary escalators of $150,000 last season, $175,000 this year, and then $200,000 over the last three seasons — funds underwritten by the Louisiana Tech University Foundation.

Dooley, an attorney, negotiated the deal and included steep buyouts for leaving in any of its first three years, beginning at $1 million. There is no penalty for leaving in years four or five."
