What a Downer Banned by Police from Cajun Field

Just my luck, wow. I went to check out the field for just a little while before it got dark and was questioned and nearly arrested for it. I was the only one at the time because the other four people had just left and I was just admiring the field when a police officer came up behind me and started shining his flashlight on me. Had my record not been clean he swears he would have taken me straight to jail. Told him the whole story about how they are changing the turf and they work 7 to 7 but it rained that's why they aren't out and the lights aren't on, that people had been coming by to check it out all week, blah blah blah. He didn't seem to buy it. Wanted to check my car for weapons and drugs. Said they keep the gate locked for a reason, like I broke it with my bare hands or something. Told me he better not see me again tomorrow or any other night. I guess being a die hard Cajun fan doesn't really get you anywhere.

See y'all and the field at the first home game of the season, I don't wanna deal with that again.

    Well you deserve better.

Perhaps this mornings picture created a false rumor of some vandal painting "I LOVE BLI" The Swamp.

But think about it, who in the general public even knows about the excitment at Cajun Field. I haven't read or heard much about it in the general media. Besides the RaginCajuns.com live camera this has been a surprisingly low key story.

Sounds like an angry miserable person without much to do that night but scare the heck out of some poor soul. Did you open the gate and actually walk up to the field?

I went last night around 10:30, and there was a university police car parked by the ticket box on the northeast side, no problems with the 5-0.
He must have been a ulm fan

Ragin' Cajuns Re: Banned by Police from Cajun Field

I can just hear Gomer Pyle yelling, "Citizens' Arrest, Citizens' Arrest".

Being a loyal SLI, USL, UL, ULL has to be the hardest thing in the world.

I, too went to see the field with my wife and friends but no security was there. Just to let everyone know, even though there were no goalposts, I did not take them.

You were just in the wrong place at the right time, cause today, around 2:30 P.M., I drove my pickup next to the wide open stadium gate, descended from my truck, and went in to observe what had been accomplished. I imagine that I was there for better than 20 minutes. No gendarmes. Enjoyed what I observed. Got in my truck and left.

A badge can elevate a person's ego and self felt importance to unbelievable heights of ignorance. You probably caught him right after he shined his badge with his uniform sleeve.
