I stumbled across this post about UL recruits on a site called kenramsey.com, figured I would copy it here since it mentions some guys I am partial to myself. Sorry, I am apparently not smart enough to figure out how to link it, please feel free to if you are capable. Not sure who this fellow is, but he seems to follow local recruiting and did a report on several schools.

"Recruiting Review"
LAST EDITED ON Feb-14-08 AT 05:01 AM (GMT)
I initially posted this on another site and it was well-received, so I thought I would post it here...it's not complete yet....it's about kids who are still in high school (except for the JUCOs) and I apologize in advance for any errors...please feel free to correct me....
LOUISIANA-LAFAYETTE
Start with UL....
I like Kyron Benoit from Crowley (LB) to be a good defender...played QB for Crowley....he passes the look test...good built....should be a solid contributor....
Is Blaine Gauthier (6-0, 200) going to be the QB of the future? He's shorter than average, but he has a RB frame...thus, shows uncanny strength when scrambling and evading defenders....lefty with major zip on the ball......nice arm strength and can make all the throws....
Brendan Wilson will be a stud TE for the Cajuns....one of the most underrated players in Louisiana this year....strong and tall (6-4/6-5) and still developing into frame...
Needs to thicken up, but he's not frail by any means....just the opposite, as he is an effective and dominating run-blocker for two of the premiere runners in Louisiana for next year (Lacy & York)....Big haul for UL....
Evan Ruiz is a guy who make noise on the o-line....under the radar in large part because St. Michael/Bishop Sullivan doesn't have a tradition of turning out major college football prospects....although Ruiz (and Powerman-sponsored LB Lindsay Leavoy will make noise on the next level.....
UL picked up a couple of Desire Street Academy kids, and no really knows too much about all the DSA prospects - b/c film has been limited in its availability.....and not many people saw DSA play....I haven't seen them myself...
But you would expect that it's a worthy investment b/c these Desire Street student/athletes appear to be put through some rigorous schooling and boarding and such....so you can plan on most of the DSA products being mature and college-ready....
Just a few takes on the list....
IT SOUNDS LIKE B WILSON WILL BE A GOOD RUN BLOCKER. WILL HE BE AN EFFECTIVE CATCHING TIGHT END?
Dominate run blocker is what I also heard. We have a couple of upperclassmen at the TE position coming back from last year including one I expect to have a good year in Sr. Erik Jones. We also have Jr. Luke Aubry that can be a H-back type player for throwing downs, and I expect Jr. Matt Ulm to see playing time.
Breakdown:
Sr. Erik Jones 6-4 248
Jr. Matt Ulm 6-3 225
Jr. Luke Aubrey 6-3 210
So. Matt Desormeaux 6-2 200 Mike's little brother and converted Fullback
Fr. Brenden Wilson 6-4 220
Fr. Ladirus Green 6-6 220 may be a WR but I would like to see him as a TE
I hope the returning players can play well so Wilson and Green can redshirt. If Jones gets hurt I could see Wilson's redshirt being pulled if it is early in the season.
I also hope Ulm has put on some weight on so he could be a quality back up to Jones. Aubrey and Desormeaux are too small to run block.
The combination of Wilson and Green is going to be scary good in the near future. Green is a great athlete who played WR in high school and has great speed and height at the TE position. In 2-3 years this will be the best group of TE's we have had since I been watching the Cajuns (mid 90's).
Looking at last year's stats from the new passing coordinator's (Coach Munoz) former team, I think the TE's will get the rock...
Belton led UL's TE's with 6 receptions last season. Munoz's leading TE had 26 receptions last Fall at EIU.
The same sort of thing happened at LSU this past season when Gary Crowton took over the offense...
In 2006 LSU's leading TE had 6 receptions, in 2007 the leading TE had 32 receptions.
Erik Jones looked good at the Spring scrimmage. Also, when a LB is worried about a RB like Fenroy and a mobile QB like Desormeaux, it can really help open up the TE routes. It looks like the stars may be properly aligned for Jones to have a breakout season...
