UL's Raggie DeGray returning to Leesville as new head coach
Back in 1996, Reggie DeGray led Leesville to a state title game appearance.
Now, 12 years later, DeGray is back to help try to lead the Wampus Cats back to basketball prominence.
DeGray was hired Wednesday as the new head coach of the Leesville Wampus Cats.
"I interview seven other applicants and I was most comfortable with Reggie," Leesville principal James Williams said. "I really liked his enthusiasm and attitude toward Leesville High School and the community of Leesville. He understands the proud tradition of Leesville basketball and is wanting to continue that tradition.
