Nice pub for Ashley, but gotta question a little bit about the blog entry, specifically:
Brignac also saw only limited action as a freshman for Louisiana-Lafayette
If pitching in 44 of 67 games is limited action, I hate to see what this writer would consider a normal season.
Unfortunately for Brignac, she may run into the same problem that Angela Tincher did in 2008 with Virginia Tech: being a great pitcher on an otherwise mediocre team, and thus unable to make any progress in the WCWS.
Otherwise mediocre team? You don't go on the road and knock off the No. 9 and No. 8 seed and then beat the No. 1 team in the country with an otherwise mediocre team.
I'm sorry, it's great that Ashley and the softball team are getting some recognition, but at least get some of the facts straight.
