GRAY -- For most high-school students, choosing a college is one of the toughest decisions they will ever have to make.
That’s why H.L. Bourgeois track and field star Christian Williams wanted to take his time and select the college that fit him the best.
After a long recruiting process that lasted his entire senior year of high school, Williams recently signed a letter-of-intent to participate in indoor and outdoor track and field at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette.Williams, who won individual state titles at the Louisiana High School Athletic Association’s indoor (long and triple jumps) and outdoor (long jump) track and field state meets this year, also received track offers to attend Texas A&M, Tennessee, North Carolina, McNeese State, Southeastern Louisiana, Louisiana-Monroe and LSU.
But in the end, Williams said that Louisiana-Lafayette was the school he wanted to attend.
