Any Baseball Stadium news out there?

After we heard so much about a new facility for baseball in our future, I was sure more specific news would break right after the season ended. But, as usual, I was wrong again.

Anyone out there have an update to share on this?

In his last radio interview with Mr. Bitter, Coach Robe said something should be announced in early July.

Hey, we're almost in December now and still nothing on the Baseball Stadium? What the heck is going on? Was the deal pulled?? Anyone have any information??

I'd imagine if they do have something planned that they will give a heads up around baseball season so they could rev up a marketing push for the last season in the "old tigue".

From what I'm hearing they are just going to renovate the Tigue. There won't be a brand new stadium, but I could be wrong.

Speaking of baseball, our HC Steve Peterson had quintuple bypass surgery yesterday. If someone knows Coach Robe, could ya'll let him know.

Here's the scoop.....after this season they will do the playing surface first. Artificial fence to fence. The following season they will take down the grandstands and rebuild with state of the art facilities. The bleachers will remain but the grandstand will match their elevation. The grandstand and bleachers will be covered. Also they will spend about 3Mill on the softball facilities. New stand etc. The exsisting stand will be placed in center field. Sold out attendance will be 2600 +/-. Baseball will be 4700 +/- with options for expansion......page two...
