After sweeping Southern Miss on the road this past weekend, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team moved up four spots to 10th in the latest Baseball America poll, the magazine announced on Monday.

The ranking is the first for Louisiana (7-1) in the top 10 since ending the 2000 season ranked ninth in the poll. The Ragin' Cajuns highest ranking by Baseball America was sixth on April 3, 2000.

The Cajuns jumped nine spots in the Collegiate Baseball poll checking in at No.13 this week, while the team made its first appearance in the Perfect Game poll at No. 24.

The squad is back in action tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. with a showdown at No.1 LSU before hosting No. 21 Alabama in a three-game series this weekend at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field starting Friday at 6 p.m.
