Come on Boomer. Why be so critical of the group that keeps Thunderbird and Irish Rose at the fore of all Blue Jay athletic events, and the group whose decisions are a result of the drunken effects caused by those finest of wines. When Prohibition ended, Ernest Gallo and his brothers Julio and Joe wanted to corner the wine market. Earnest wanted the company to become "the Campbell Soup company of the wine industry" so he started selling Thunderbird, and later, Wild Irish Rose in various ghetto markets around the country.

The results are unparalleled and continue today in those same ghettos, in part, because the LHSAA has stamped those products as its "beverages of choice" at all executive gatherings.

    And their decisions show it.
