UL - Coming off of the best season in program history, Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns soccer team is set to host four soccer camps. The camps will focus on developing proper technique, tactical awareness and having fun.

The Cajuns soccer team will host four camps including a day camp for both boys and girls, a boys camp and a pair of girls camps. There will be a guest camp staffer Danielle Fotopolous who is a forward for the US National Team and former Olympic gold medal winner.

Dates:
Day Camp: July 7-10
Boys Camp: July 14-17
Girls Camp Session I: July 11-13
Girls Camp Session II: July 18-20


Day Camp: July 7-10
Boys and Girls Ages: 6-9 years old

This Camp is designed to provide the best possible soccer instruction for kids of all ages, especially those just beginning. Focus will be on developing proper technique, and tactical awareness. Instruction will take place in a low camper to staff ratio. Camp will run Monday, July 7 through Wednesday, July 9 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and on Thursday, July 10 from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Lunch will not be provided for the campers but a lunch hour will be provided.

Boys Camp: July 14-17
Boys Ages: 10-15 years old

This Camp is designed for the development of technical, tactical, and fundamental team skills on a more advanced level. It will provide a more competitive environment for maximum enjoyment. Camp will run Monday, July 14 through Wednesday, July 16 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and on Thursday, July 17 from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Lunch will not be provided for the campers but a lunch hour will be provided

Girls Residential Session I: July 11-13
Girls Residential Session II: July 18-20
Session I: Girls Ages: 10-14 years old
Session II: Girls Ages: 14-18 years old

Each Session is designed to cater to the advanced player. Well designed technical and tactical sessions are introduced for higher development.

Residence:
Campers will stay at the Hilton Garden Inn on W. Congress across from Cajun Field. Check in will be at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 11, and check out will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 13. Meals will be provided.

Goalkeepers:
Goalkeepers will receive specialized instruction under the direction of an experienced goalie coach. Keepers are trained in a separate setting with instruction in a low camper to staff ratio.

Facilities:
Camp will be held on the Ragin’ Cajuns Soccer Field, located within the track, at the corner of Bertrand and Reinhart Drive. In the event of rain, sessions will be held at the new Leon Moncla Indoor Practice Facility.

Camp Instructors are composed of Ragin’ Cajuns coaching staff, players and other college and university coaches.
