Acadiana - Louisiana’s Lady Cajuns softball team ended their incredible season with a trip to the Women’s College World Series. The team and coaches have now returned to Lafayette and are set for their annual summer camps.
The Ragin’ Cajuns Softball Camp information is as follows:
RESIDENTIAL & COMMUTER CAMP
Monday-Friday, June 10-13
Check-In:
Residential check-in will be on June 9th at the Holiday Inn Holidome.
Commuter check-in will be on June 10th at Lamson Softball Park.
Instruction:
The camp will cover all fundamentals of softball – individual skills including, but not limited to fielding, hitting, pitching and throwing. Campers will be grouped according to age level and skill level.
Meals:
Overnight participation includes three meals and snacks. Commuters will be served lunch only.
What to Bring:
Each camper needs to bring her own glove, batting helmet, individual bat, catching gear, knee pads, softball cleats, tennis shoes, sunscreen, batting gloves, spending money and desire to learn. Please label all items. Water will be provided.

The Ragin’ Cajuns softball camp instructors are composed of the Ragin’ Cajuns coaching staff and former and current Ragin’ Cajuns softball players.

SKILLS & DRILLS
Monday-Thursday, June 16-19
Session 1 – Defense Skills & Strategies
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Fielding, throwing, pitching
Session 2 – Offense Skills & Strategies
1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. – Hitting & Offense
Instruction:
The camp will cover all fundamentals of softball – individual skills including, but not limited to fielding, hitting, pitching and throwing. Campers will be grouped according to age level and skill level. The Skills & Drills sessions will consist of specialized instruction specific to hitting/offense or defensive position work.
Facilities:
The Ragin’ Cajuns camp will be held at Alfred and Helen Lamson Ragin’ Cajuns Softball Park and adjacent facilities located on Cajundome Blvd.

Each camper needs to bring her own glove, batting helmet, individual bat, catching gear, knee pads, softball cleats, tennis shoes, sunscreen, batting gloves, spending money and desire to learn. Please label all items. Water will be provided.
