As the weary warriors stepped off the bus, emotions drained and bodies battered after three rugged games and a pair of 10-hour bus rides, their fans stood waiting.
They had followed the UL softball team over the Atchafalaya to Baton Rouge; they'd braved the Lake Charles traffic to make it to Houston and they'd trekked to the mecca of softball in Oklahoma City to watch them knock off the top-seeded Florida Gators.
There was no way they wouldn't be at Lamson Park late Sunday night when the Cajuns arrived.
