Softball's SUPER FANS

Ok, this is bordering on paranoia. Who cares what other people write in regards to attire of our softball coaches. The writer is just being disrespectful, biased, and negative. We cannot jump to every critique given. I wouldn't trade our Softball coaches for anyone! They are awesome and so is our Softball Team.

_ Interesting to note on the UCS (Ultimate College Softball) board, they praised UL for its fans and for our team. But, there was discussion about our team being the only one to take a bus and about how poorly Coach Lotief dressed as the 3rd base coach and related both to the university's poor financial condition and our lack of funding for athletics. This was apparently confirmed when one of the posters said they spoke with a UL fan at the Judy Garmin Classic this year who told her the coaches had to seek outside contributions to fund the softball program. There was amazement that we were able to achieve so much with so little.

It is terrible that our program is percieved that way, but we bring that upon ourselves. That image tends to go along with a name like Louisiana Lafayette. And, Coach Lotief doesn't help with the way he dresses as a coach. _

Yep, fashion police for our coaches. Heck, he can dress in overalls and a straw hat as far as I'm concerned, if he continues having success with our program. _

If it got us a comparable season in football I'd be for Coach Bustle dressing like Granny Clampett.
