Louisiana-Lafayette’s softball team, the only Louisiana team to make the Women’s College World Series, dominates the 2008 All-Louisiana team.

The Ragin’ Cajuns have five first-team selections and earned four of the five special honors. Outfielder Holly Tankersley is the Hitter of the Year. Ashley Brignac is the Pitcher of the Year. Another Cajun pitcher, Donna Bourgeois, is Freshman of the Year.

The Cajuns’ Stefni Lotief was chosen Coach of the Year for the first time since 2005 but the fourth time in six seasons.

I'm just curious, in the second article, it was stated that noone received a unanimous vote for the 1st team. Tankersley received 14 of 15 votes. How could she not be unanimous? She's a 1st team all american and didn't she lead the nation in HR's? I'm curious as to which voter didn't think that she deserved to be on the 1st team.

No! no! Flagship supporters that lack logic usually also lack a degree from the beloved flagship. Probably was our buddy Jaques Doucet wanting everybody to know he is not biased even though his degree comes from UL.

And by the way, Tankersley just made the WCWS All Tournament Team. So, that one voter can stick that in ...............wherever they want.
