Team’s Estimated Arrival Time: 8:30 pm – rough approximation due to bus travel

The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Return Home From the Women’s College World Series!

The University of Louisiana would like to invite everyone in Acadiana to join in the festivities as we welcome home the Ragin’ Cajuns. The team is scheduled to arrive this evening at 8:00 pm. Since the University is currently between semesters, tonight will be your only chance this summer to greet the Cajuns. A formal reception for the team is being planned for the fall semester.

Everyone is welcome to go out on the field, run the bases, and get a feel for how close the Killer B’s are when they throw a fastball… “underhand.” There will be a fun jump, courtesy of Acadiana Fun Jumps, for the kids in the outfield.

Upon arrival, the team will be introduced and will greet those in attendance. “Geaux Cajuns” posters will be available and fans are encouraged to interact with these exceptional young women. Feel free to bring items you would like autographed by the team.

Lamson Park is located on Cajundome Blvd. and is adjacent to Bourgeois Hall. Due to the Cajun Heartland State Fair, parking at Cajun Field is restricted and requires patrons to pay a fee. Free parking is available at Bourgeois Hall and Blackham Coliseum (if needed).

Please spread the word and we look forward to seeing you this evening!

  5. UL Softball Cajuns return with mixed feelings

OKLAHOMA CITY - As the reality of a 3-1 loss to third-seeded Alabama at the Women's College World Series set in - that's when the tears started to flow for UL's softball team and co-coach Stefni Lotief.

Senior Holly Tankersley and sophomore Melissa Verde stared at the field in disbelief from the dugout before the inevitable tears followed.

Sophomore Brittany Cuevas and freshmen Gabriele Bridges, Donna Bourgeois and Ashley Brignac shared a group hug and cried like sisters often do.

Senior Vanessa Soto, faced with the finality of her collegiate career, showed her emotions as the cheers of "Ragin' Cajuns" echoed throughout ASA Hall of Fame Stadium.

  6. Default Congrats to Lady Cajuns Softball Team

I enjoyed watching you play. The season may not have ended the way you hoped, but that can't and shouldn't diminish all you accomplished.
