Great season, but defense lets them down for two days in a row. It is going to be tough to replace Tankersley and Soto. :-(

good run while it lasted for the last half of the year. We have plenty of talent, but not to be negative, so many things have to work out to get here and you never know when you will get back. Maybe next year, maybe another 5. Its bad to lose like this when we were a few feet from being 2-0. Thanks for the great run ladies.

The lotiefs have a knack for filling unfillable shoes every year. Besides, they got some pull now as they can say "you wanna go to the WCWS? come to lafayette".

We return excellent pitching next season. It will be important to replace the bats of Soto and Tankersly. This team has the potential to be back in OKC next season.

Next season looks very promising. We do lose our best 2 bats in Tankersly and Soto but:

We have the deepest pitching staff in the country

Pitching will get even better (Brignac will develop a change up and drop ball, Bourgeois will develope a change up and rise ball, Cuevas will get healthy, and all as gained valuable experience)

Everyone else is a year older and gained experienced

Codi Runyan hopefully returns after redshirting because of injury for her Sr. season at SS to replace Broadhead. 2 seasons ago she hit .275 with 12 HR's. She has a couple years of starting experience.

Strong recruiting class coming in. We signed a OF who chose us over Texas who is extremely fast and is faster than anyone we have on the team. We also signed the #1 middle infielder in the country who played with Brignac on teh Jr. olympic team. Both girls played high level select ball on the national level.

Bridges will become a much better hitter next season for power and average.
