Zydeco music grew out of a variety of musical forms stirred together here in Acadiana. This picture was taken in 1985 at a ceremony crowning Rockin' Dopsie, left, as Prince of Zydeco. Dopsie is seen with Johnnie Allan and Rockin' Sidney.
