Louisiana Hosts Arkansas State With Third Place At Stake

Third place in the Sun Belt Conference standings will be on the line when the Cajuns host Arkansas State on Saturday, Feb. 15 beginning at 7:15 p.m. in the Cajundome. _The game will be a doubleheader with the women's basketball team hosting Arkansas State beginning at 5:00 p.m. _After claiming a 93-87 double overtime win over UALR on Thursday night, the Ragin' Cajuns remain undefeated in the month of February. _They have registered four straight wins to improve to 16-9 overall and move into fourth place in the Sun Belt with a 7-5 mark.

I prefer to not view it as a play for third, but a play to remain in contention for second. Third, fourth, fifth all do not get first round passes. I guess since it is the Winter Olympic I should think of it as a shot at bronze, but silver is still an attainable goal.

Actually, 1-4 get first round byes. 1 and 2 get second round byes. But I agree, we need to fight for that #2 spot. As #2 our first game wouldn't be until the Saturday and I'm sure we'd see a great Cajun crowd at that game.
