Good for him. That pitching staff is in shambles...might have a chance to get called up this year.

Danny has been DFA'd again. I believe today or tomorrow is the last day he would be able to be picked up on waivers. If not he returns to the Yankees. Been an interesting month for him to say the least!

I wouldn't call it shambles. It will be awesome if they do call him up. They need starting pitching more than anything though so unless they see him being able to make that jump I think he'll sit in the minors for the time being.

When you lose a starter before the season even started in Pineda and a setup man in Chamberlain, your hall of fame closer to a freak accident, then lose two more starters in back to back days in Sabathia and Pettite...you have a pitching staff that is in shambles.

Ichiro to NY. Danny to Seattle.

Seattle traded Ichiro to the Yankees for 2 minor league prospects. One of them being Farquhar.

The Yankees also got cash in the deal that sent 25-year-old righties D.J. Mitchell and Danny Farquhar to the last-place Mariners. The trade was announced a few hours before the Yankees played at Seattle

Danny sure is making the rounds right now; might as well live out of a suitcase.

It was pretty cool that Ichiro was traded to the Yankees and his first game for them was against Seattle in Safeco field.

Danny faced Chase today and Chase won the battle with a single. Looks like Chase has been playing well and Danny is on a 20 and 1/3 innings scoreless streak.
