He is doing really, really well. Docs expected him to be hospitalized 4-6 weeks. Might be a much shorter stay.
Danny Farquhar, the Chicago White Sox pitcher who suffered a brain hemorrhage during a game last month, was discharged from the hospital, the team announced Monday afternoon, but he will not pitch for the remainder of this season.
However, Demetrius Lopes, Farquhar's neurosurgeon, says he expects Farquhar will be able to pitch "some time in the future," according to the White Sox.
Great news
That is incredible.
They're talking about him PITCHING at this stage.
Nothing short of a miracle.
I heard yesterday this was coming. Simply amazing.
After reliever Danny Farquhar collapsed in the dugout at Guaranteed Rate Field, White Sox players and coaches feared that his life hung in the balance.
But less than three weeks after he suffered a brain hemorrhage from a ruptured aneurysm, Farquhar is resting at home. Neurosurgeon Demetrius Lopes released him from Rush University Medical Center on Monday, saying Farquhar might be able to return to the mound in 2019.
