Baseball is a funny game.
It's the only thing in life where failing two out of three times is considered a successful mark.
So, in a game of failure, there's going to come a time when fortune doesn't smile on you anymore.
That time came Saturday for the UL Ragin' Cajun baseball team.
The Cajuns (30-29), needing only one win to advance to the Sun Belt Conference Tournament title game, ran into a red-hot UNO team (42-18) to lose 10-0 and 6-5 games to end their season.
Ironically, the season ended the same way it started - with a lot of promise - as the Cajuns left the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth in a one-run loss.
