A week ago Friday, the UL Ragin' Cajun baseball team was two losses away from not making the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.

Now they need two wins to win the SBC Conference Tournament and qualify for an NCAA Regional.

It's a far cry from the team that lost six of nine games prior to the regular season finale against New Orleans.

"We got some guys in the middle of the order that are making it tough for teams to pitch," UL coach Tony Robichaux said. "Earlier in the year, we struggled a little bit and had some holes. Right now with Scott (Hawkins) getting hot, Nolan (Gisclair) stepped up the night before and got a big home run and today Chance Harst had his best at-bat in the most critical time of the game."
