Ricky has been given more time, more revenue than anybody at UL a lot more. This is the 7th year and it looks like it will take an incredible string of upsets to even get to .500 this year. Good luck to Ricky, but to be honest his tenure has been at best average given the resources he has to work with.

    USM incredible upset?
    Kent State incredible upset?
    ULM incredible upset?
    North Texas incredible upset?
    ASU incredible upset?
    FIU incredible upset?
    UTEP incredible upset?
    Troy incredible upset?
    MTSU incredible upset?

All of these games are winnable with the talent we have on offense. I am not defending Bustle but come on "incredible" hell no but slight upsets maybe. All of these games are winnable.

The best coach we have had was Stokley. Did more with nothing than the last two coaches combined.

Given the bipolar nature of the football team the last 3 years, every game could be at least a minor upset. Defeating any team that went to a bowl last year is a water-to-wine miracle.

Couldn't disagree more. Southern Miss is not a huge upset. I don't think Kent would be an upset at all and I don't look at UTEP as being a major upset either. Personally, I think with some improvement on D, we can be a darkhorse to win the league. Troy will take a step back, no doubt about it. You don't replace what they are and return to that level when you are in the sunbelt. FAU was peaking at the right time last year and I just don't see them as being a great team. NT, are you kidding me?? Why in the hell is this an upset?? You are crazy

USM would be an upset but not a huge one. other than that there are no huge upsets at all. No home game would be an upset in my mind at all. Troy lost their QB and OC. Only games that would be huge upsets would be the BCS schools. The rest of the games could be considered upsets but none of them with the exception of FAU would be considered huge.

    I said NT was winnable.

I don't think I'm crazy. Just not being an offseason optimist like some are. You always have fond hopes and memories after a terrible season. The brain just works that way. Look back on posts from the past 2 years. We were supposed to go to a bowl game every year. We have subpar season (again), and we still think we have a chance to win the conference?

I've decided to make this a bitter offseason. Thus...

After his 7-8 years, all those games should be winnable. The fact they are questionable remarks poorly on the Bustle era.

The Cajuns will have no more difficult time task of beating USM and UTEP than the better teams in the sunbelt. C USA is no better than sunbelt in football. Two years ago beating the best team in the C USA but not coming close to winning sunbelt was no fluke, neither was FAU and Troy easily winning the past two NO bowls, it is just the reality of things. The better half of the sunbelt is just as good as or better than the vast majority of teams in any of the non BCS conferences.

I just hope its decisive one way or another.

Either go out and win 8 games or only win 2. Don't play we me as a fan anymore Mr. Bustle.

I'm glad to see that reality is making an impression. It also occurred (except for Memphis bball) in men's basketball and baseball.

The only problem I see is we have not really contributed much to "the cause" outside the football win over U-Hou in 2006.

UL Ragin Cajun softball has a chance to make a big statement this weekend re: SBC vs. CUSA.

I don't see why we blame Bustle. He doesn't even wear a headset during the game.
