Thread: Cajuns lose ace, Hamilton pitches like one

  1. Default Cajuns lose ace, Hamilton pitches like one

In Saturday’s game one against North Carolina, Hamilton entered the game with UL trailing 5-3 and promptly threw six no-hit innings with one walk and six strikeouts to earn the win.

“Christina stepped up and pitched her best ball at the right moment,” Lotief said. “Wow, that was awesome to watch. She pitched very well.”

Hamilton pitched like the dominating freshman she was 3 years ago. And you could see on her face that she could feel it, too. It was awesome to see.

I noticed the box score before reading or hearing anything else, and thought, "she's back".

CE...it was amazing to watch. She was as dominating as Jordan would have been had she been out there. If she has regained her confidence and form and can deliver like that here on out...adding in the potential that I saw yesterday from Stewart and Smith...we could have a damn good year!

Noticed that Jordan was hurting in the side. Thank God it was not the shoulder, arm, or legs. Sounds like a torn or pulled muscle, tender, or ligament.

On Christina it was great to see her back in form with the glasses on. She ditch the glasses last year as she thought they were a distraction. I love the attitude when she is pitching well.

I can't believe how young this team is. Only a couple of seniors and juniors. But they have huge potential. The girl from Indiana who pitched last night looked pretty good too.

Oh, oh, you sound like the fans in Major League II Back to the Minors. Randy Quaid says He's back, and he is wearing the glasses or something like that.

How did the girls finish up today? It was going into extra innings when I had step out.

7 7 tie after 8 innings, Purdue had to catch a flight.

Were they that anxious to get back to that sub freezing weather in Indiana?

After living up there for 13 years I would say no, this is the worst winter they've had in a while. You have to remember we were not suppose to play Purdue, we were suppose to play Northern Iowa. Northern Iowa told us this morning that they would not be here to play us that they had a plane flight to catch. You would have thought they knew that when they booked the flight. Purdue stepped up on short notice with the caveat that no inning would start after 3:05. The 9th was ready to start at 3:03 and Purdue said they could not stick around, I do not think Mike was to happy.
