    UL Softball Weekend Plans For Cajun Fans: Houston

    Greetings Ragin’ Cajuns:



    Our Lady Cajuns are playing in the 2008 NCAA Softball Super Regional to be held this weekend at Cougar Softball Stadium located on the University of Houston campus. Two games have been scheduled to take place with a third tentatively scheduled, “if necessary”. All fans and alumni are invited to come and support our team and cheer them on to victory.



    The Lady Cajuns Softball Schedule:

    Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 8:00pm - “The Original” Ragin Cajun Restaurant

    Friday, May 23, 2008 @ 7:00pm – Cougar Softball Stadium

    Saturday, May 24, 2008 @ 12:00pm – Cougar Softball Stadium

    (Saturday, May 24, 2008 @ 3:00pm – Cougar Softball Stadium *if necessary)



    The UL Lafayette Alumni Association will have a tailgating tent prior to the start of the game on Friday afternoon. Tailgating will be from 5:00pm to start of game at 7:00pm. Jessica Newman, Assistant Director, will be on hand to host the festivities. We have reserved a grassy area adjacent to parking lot 15H, next to the Cougar Softball Field where the game will be played. Cougar Softball Stadium is located next to the Tom Tellez Track Complex on the corner of Scott and Elgin Streets on the UH campus.



    Driving directions to Cougar Softball Stadium are as follows:

    Directions from I-45 South (from downtown):

    - exit Cullen- turn right on Cullen- At Elgin, the first light, turn right- follow Elgin and you will see the stadium at the corner of Elgin and Scott streets.

    Directions to this building from I-45 North (from Baytown/Galveston):
    - exit Cullen- turn left on Cullen, under freeway- At Elgin, the second light, turn right- follow Elgin and you will see the stadium at the corner of Elgin and Scott streets.

    2008 NCAA Softball Super Regional All-Session Pass
    2008 NCAA Softball Super Regional All-Session passes are now on sale!

    Dates: Friday, May 23rd and Saturday, May 24th
    Location: Cougar Softball Stadium
    Participating Schools: Houston and Louisiana-Lafayette
    Game Times: Friday, May 23rd: 7:00pm
    Saturday, May 24th: 12:00pm
    Saturday, May 24th: 3:00pm (if necessary)

    All Session Prices:
    Adult: $25
    Youth: $15

    Students of the participating schools, with valid student ID, can purchase one student ticket at the gate for $5. Student tickets will go on sale at the gate one (1) hour prior to the start of the first game each day.

    All seating at the Cougar Softball Stadium is general admission. CASH ONLY AT THE GATE!









    UL alum Luke Mandola will host the Lady Cajuns Softball team at his Houston restaurant on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 8:00pm. Luke asks that everyone come and support the Lady Cajuns and enjoy some great Cajun food and hospitality.

    Individual game tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for kids, provided that they don't sell out of All-Session Passes.
