    We DID have a pretty good shot at taking it. We lost to an extremely good team...in a drizzle...in a cold wind...after Jordan had closed out the prior game. We have freshmen and sophs all over the place. The season isn't over.

    I don't like it. But you do know Mike has taken this team to a super-regional 3 of the last 4 years with his strategy.

    Mike plays for the post season. With this strategy your batters always get an extra at bat and your pitchers will hopefully get an extra inning to work when we are in the lead. His record at home is near perfect.

    I like it for every program, except a ranked opponent. I think it serves us well in conference. I would prefer he switch to batting last against ranked opponents.

    Same for your comment. Guy is probably the most successful coach ever at UL and respected by coaches nationwide for his offensive acumen. If he thinks the strategy works, then his record makes it hard for some uninformed commenter on Ragin Pagin to say otherwise.

    --------And an older gentleman learns another lesson in the game of baseball/softball---If it is a sure win or just for the hell of it get you guys more reps/experience!!! Never thought about it but just think how many subs could have had playing time with this approach!!!
