If Vallie Gaspard, Karli Hubbard and Katie Smith showed up for a fight, you'd hear the chuckles all the way to Baton Rouge.

Let's put it this way: Imposing isn't exactly the best descriptive term for the UL softball team's three slap hitters.

But pesky, disruptive and frustrating sure seem to work.

"When you face teams that have slap hitters and the pressure those types of hitters put on a defense, it can be frustrating," Cajuns co-head coach Michael Lotief said. "You saw it this weekend - those three put pressure on the defense and made things happen.

"It was fun to watch."
