Mea culpa if I came off sounding negative, J1M. Just curious as to what is behind the drapes. Must be some advertising, and since the NCAA is not getting their "cut" it becomes a no-no. The NCAA is sorta wierd about things like that. I remember some years ago going to a basketball regional held at the Superdome. The NCAA officials were making fans who had banners hanging over the edges of the seating areas remove. Have never figured out that one.

Anyway, thanks for keeping me on my toes. Really, it wasn't meant to be negative.

Behind the drapes there was a sign on one side that said "LSU Softball Regional Champions 2008" and on the other it said "We love you Yvette". They chose not to remove the purple sheets after the game. I am kidding with you of course... or am I?

Of course you are....or are you? Only the Shadow knows!

I appreciate the levity. You may not be too far off. In my case, is this one of curiosity killing the cat?

lol... you make a good argument for the stereotypical fan of a team that just loss. had your team won any of the games, you would be a lot more interested in the outcome. of course your opinion really doesn't matter, does it? .

Just for my knowledge, what did Jazz Jackson do to get benched? I was at the games in the tiny hole they stuck all the fans into in left field, and I figured she got benched because she had the dropsies, but apparently she acted inappropriately in some way...what happened?

i din't see her do anything so i can't answer your question. maybe someone who was in the vicinity could help you.

i think she was benched in favor of the freshman applegate who seems to be a little faster and had a better chance of getting on base.

We were at the game and didn't see what Jackson did, could someone inform me? I did hear, however, that Vanessa Soto's mother was tripped on purpose by an LSwho? fan.

The only thing we saw was her dropping the ball and/or missing a fly ball. Y.G. took her aside then our player hit one into left field and Applegate caught it. But as far as benching her for inappropriate actions we did not see.

Well you might say nobody cares to be there when they are getting hammered. They were there in great numbers until that whupping they took Saturday. The Purple Crowd simply did not want to be in the Sun when it was likely to happen again on Sunday. I am glad you are consistent and would attend neither, leaves more room for those who DO enjoy the games.
