Good seeing you in Pont Breaux yesterday afternoon, Snote. Didnt realize my fine city was one of your favorites...at least for water. (grins)

Question... What was the thinking a while back behind putting Caleb Adams hitting lead off? Also...who sets the hitting lineup...Tony or you and Deggs?

    My favorite quote:

"Our goal is to sweep this series, sweep the conference tournament, sweep the NCAA regionals, sweep the Super Regionals, and sweep the College World Series." - Coach Bab doesn't shorten up on his swings.

    See, Snote? Somebody was listening.

Hey Bil, hope you're well. I don't think I saw you out there on Saturday.

Can you ask Bab who we think will start on the mound if we make it to a game 4?

Hey Bil. Who is the best hitting pitcher? And were there any position players left to PH for the pitcher if that spot came up again at end of game 3 w/ULM?

If we jump out to a big lead early, is pulling AUT to use him for game 4 a conceivable option?

I'd guess our best hitting pitcher would probably be Seth Harrison.

Robe sorta addressed this on his show last night. He said teams with less pitching are forced to bring guys back on short rest for a later game. He said because of our depth, he doesn't feel like we need to do that.

Now, that was not specifically talking about shortening up Austin's outing, but I get the feeling that's not something we plan on doing

Ryan Wilson and Seth Harrison, not in that order are the best hitting pitchers, unfortunately vs ULm they had both played.

Here would have been some options with HS numbers posted next to them.

Austin Robichaux .361 13 doubles and 4 triples
    Cody Boutte .524 3 HR's 39 RBI.s
Matt Hicks .372 14 doubles and 25 SB

I would have put Hicks or Cooper if they were available, in that order. It is very difficult to pitch to a guy who barely stands 5'8" tall. And that may be a stretch for both of them. Plus they are both athletic and would be tough once on base, specifcially Hicks, who had 25 SB as a senior in HS.

    Just my opinion.

Tony has said in the past that pitchers have to decided in the fall whether they will hit or not. If they decided not to he will not let them hit in the game. I am pretty sure he was talking about pitch hitting, but I not sure how that would play out in game like last Saturday.
