As to the "traitor" thing, why is it ok for a coach to move from the Cowboys to the Cajuns without having a negative label affixed to their back but not ok to move from the Cajuns to the Tigers?

Best of luck to both teams in the regional. _
they sure love their "traitor" Soto, don't they? i tell you again, you have GOT to love this site.

How about addressing that first paragraph specifically to grandcoteaukitty?

As for the second, Robe did have ties here as a player. And if folks in lake chuck think Robe is a traitor to them I won't argue that point. But when Robe left Ryan Street he didn't do things or say things to damage their program. And as everyone has pointed out it was more the way Yvette left, the things she said and did to hurt the UL program than it is that she left. And I'll admit, where she left for does add to the situation.

Also, I know this guy named Tony who has done more than Yvette could have ever dreamed of doing. (with the same nickel and dime budget may I add) I am all for making a decision for the best of yourself and your family, but you have to realize that those decisions will bring out your true colors. _
Rage, let's think about this for a minute. Tony has done a outstanding job with the baseball program, but Yvette started her program from nothing and with nothing. She had the Cajuns competing against extremely strong opponents year in and year out, culminating in College World Series appearances and numerous accolades. To imply that what she accomplished while with the Cajuns is insignificant would be quite a mistake.

As for being a traitor, answer this question for me. Had she gone to coach at Southern Miss, would you still be this upset? I think she is a great coach and motivator, and hold no animosity towards her for leaving.

YG and Nick Saban are/were motivated by money. How do you equate Soto spending her senior year at UL in any way equivalent? I find your calling a student-athlete a "traitor" a bit on the irresponsible side. I do not think you should drag a young person, whose reasons are not that apparent to me nor you, into the same discussion as coaches (employed grown-ups).

I still find it hard to believe you have a daughter at UL. You pretend to be an audience member, here for the purpose of entertainment. You just can't keep off the stage, can you?

Her actions after leaving put the program in reverse. The program may have gotten to a point while she was there, but the damage she intentionally caused erased all of that. It's not like the Lotiefs inherited a powerhouse. They had to rebuild it. Yes, what she accomplished with the Cajuns was significant, but her total effect on the program is insignificant in my opinion.

If I work my whole life to retire on $25M and then blow it gambling, my life's work, even though I earned a fortune, was pretty pointless don't you think?

Like you not calling YG a "traitor" it is not up to us calling him a "traitor". We will leave it up to the Cowboys if they so desire.

    Apples and oranges.

As I recall, Yvette kicked Soto and Hollis off the team (as reported in the Daily Revelle) before Soto decided to transfer here. Soto then inquired about transfering here. Yvette late decided to let Hollis stay. Its all documented in newspaper articles with dates so you can fit the timeline together. But, hey, don't let facts get in the way of your agenda, sissy.

This just me, but a traitor is one who pretends to be one of you while working behind the scenes/hidden to do you damage. In others words, a soldier who wears the same uniform as you shooting you to benefit the other army. A traitor is not one who leaves your side in plain view of all to cast their lot with another. imo

I haven't seen any evidence of Yvette or Robe being a "traitor" to any school employing them, but each to our own.

    1) i don't call her a traitor--it's why i used the quotes around it. i was trying to make a point about the lack of a two-way street when anything ul related is involved with you guys.

    2) believe it.

    3) no, i can't keep off the stage. so many things cost, i can't help but abuse the things that are free.
