We need to tell Academy managers why their crap doesn't sell at times. Tell them to remove the yella and the Lafayette all over the place...and they will move more mchandise. Also...send an email to Aaron Martin reminding him to ask Academy to not design anything like most of what they currently have in stock.
It's been done. They are not responsive. City tag and yellow are ingrained at Academy.
We have some leaders(because of their positions) that just do not have a clue. My guess is they are so busy doing certain day to days that they have NOTHING left when if comes to the marketing of the University of Louisiana, UL, Ragin Cajuns, Louisiana Ragin Cajuns!
I also really strongly believe we left MANY dollars on the table when UL stopped using Lady Cajuns! See; Lady Tigers, Lady Vols, Lady Techsters, etc.
I'm not foolish enough to think money would double but I strongly believe marketing dollar potential was cut 30-40%
Unfortunately UL brass sees Lady Cajuns marketing as an expense they can't afford. That same line of thinking has left dedicated fundraising positions going unfilled.
Addendum: I can' imagine a headline reading "Baton Rouge Professor invents ..." but the Advocate has one such headline today for UL.

Go with Louisiana on the jersey, fleur de lis on the front of the hat and ragin cajuns on the back of the hat.
