Yeah, I watched the game but it didn't look, sound and feel like UL beat a "rival" to me. I've seen many Cajun games over the years so I can say that with a great amount of authority.

By the way, playing Middle Tennessee in the 2008 football season finale is fine by me. Talk that rivalry up when the time comes.

I don't either and I didn't say that. I just know what rivalries are from a longtime sports fan's perspective and ULM ain't one.

I also resented the Sun Belt trying to manufacture one with ULM. You can't do that and make it real.

What ULM in the Sun Belt means is that it is a conference opponent.
