For what it's worth NBADraft.Net has both Payton and Long in recently updated mock drafts. Payton going 23rd to Jazz in 2014 (http://nbadraft.net/2014mock_draft) and Long going 14th to Grizzlies in 2015 (http://nbadraft.net/2015mock_draft).

Well the draft experts here don't think either are R1 material, much less NBA material. They do twice as much research to come to that conclusion.

Look no further than the Houston rockets GM's comment on their 1st round choice from last year, dude is yet to play.

Or here's two words "experts" love...JaMarcus Russell.

Why is it always out of the realm of possibility that there are others like Brad Stevens that are just waiting for that opportunity to seize. They just need the green light

I think there are definitely guys out there like Stevens. But, if it were that easy to find them, everyone would be playing in the National Championship game.

You can count on one hand the number of years we have had 2 NBA draft prospects on the same roster.

Where would this year's squad rank in the pantheon of Cajuns basketball?

    What a waste.

    Careful.

Last time somebody asked that question, UL got the death penalty.

Josh, what site are you getting that mock draft from? I have to say, I'm shocked to see Payton going 23rd. And Long even being drafted. Guess it speaks to the watered down version that the NBA has become.

Looking at the competition they play against, EP and Long are not NBA eligible......Put them against top teams and they would be bench players.......

Put your opinion up against any of the names Elfrid played with this summer and you would find out you have no clue what you're talking about.
