"besides trying to show that a UL-L player is as good as an LSU player.... "

Your post above seems to indicate that you think it is a given that every lsu player is better than any UL player. BTW, nice use of the city tag abbreviation and the hyphen to make sure it didn't get changed to UL. In addition to all those spring sports tickets to UL, where do you spend your fall sporting dollars?
i am not responding with a "know your place" post. i am responding with a "why create a thread in the hopes of starting an argument" post.

as far as the fall sports question, i spend my weekends in tiger stadium. am i not supposed to support my alma mater? what is a person to do? especially when they received an education from both schools?

that is why i spend 7-8 weekends a year in baton rouge and spend my spring weekends here in lafayette.

Well now we have full disclosure. It was pretty obvious where your first loyalties are.

As for the motives behind the creation of this thread, I don't know for certain sicne I ddin't create it (nor have I voted in it for that matter). But you seem to be the only one who wanted to jump in and start an argument. Is it because you can't stomach the thought of a UL fan thinking their player maight be just as good or better? I mean, whats an alum supposed to do?

don't know? could be! i do feel that orlando thomas was the best free safety in the state during his time and he should be considered for one of the top 3 spots in UL athletics

We compare schools all the time. If websites can assign stars to a high school players. If radio shows can say who had the better signing class. If Newspapers can rate a players draft value. What is wrong with looking at the players in the middle of the process?

Ragin' Cajuns Re: Grant Fleming or Jacob Cutrera

i have always felt that certain local high school football players should have just stayed and played in cajun field. cutrera is one, as is ally broussard, among others.

I understand where you're thinking is... but those players have to feel they should stay and play at Cajun Field for it to make any difference. We can't guilt kids or fans into wanting us. Our program (directors) have to begin the process of making us as attractive as possible. The Big Time in UL football starts with the actions of our leadership... the rest will absolutely follow.

Default Rickey Bustle Standing in the Gap. (Thread Split)

a "LOCAL" 17 year old was born in 1990/1991.. maybe a player of football..

has he seen anything worth his attention to be a cajun since he at 4 / 6 years old (1995/96/97) ?
    no..

ps. i first briefly met rickey in 1983.. i have been his biggest fan since a few months before he came here..

pss. rickey has made me proud "standing in the gap" and i only wish he reaps the reward of his efforts since he arrived here..

psss. those that wish to bash him.. great to live in America isn't it.. I will trust the fact of him "reaping" as typed above.. he may not..
