Young Ragin' Cajuns showing flashes

In last weekend's series finale against Nebraska, Tony Robichaux looked up and down his lineup card. What UL's baseball coach saw staring back at him was a relatively young group of Ragin' Cajuns. He saw true freshmen in Brian Bowman (center field), Matt Goulas (left field), Tyler Benzel (third base) and Michael Cook (pitcher). He saw redshirt freshmen in Dillon Guillory (catcher) and Travis Whipple (right field). He also saw sophomores Chance Harst (first base) and William Long (shortstop) and juniors Scott Hawkins (designated hitter) and Matt Hicks (second base). Then UL's youngsters jumped out to an early lead on Saturday before the nationally ranked Cornhuskers rallied for a 4-3 in their final at-bat.
