TROY, Ala. - After Wednesday's 8-0 mercy-rule win over No. 8 seed Western Kentucky in the opening round of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, top-seeded UL advanced to face No. 4 Florida International at 5:30 p.m. today.

FIU (29-32) beat No. 5 Middle Tennessee, 3-2, on Wednesday.

Louisiana (43-12) swept a three-game series from FIU in April in Miami. That included a pair of one-run victories before completing the sweep with a 7-4 win.
