2 very average teams on the field tonight. Yes the last two innings were fun but I still feel like it was average baseball on behalf of our vertran hitters. I say we continue to get the younger guys in there and develop the future

Careful... you'll turn into a Cajun Cabbage Patch Troll. You have me thinking again... that's bad... I think we should use a Cajun Cabbage Patch Troll for a mascot. You could volunteer to start things off. I'll do the artwork to show you how your costume will look. I'm going to market this concept and share the proceeds with the university. Someone has to show them how to market, make serious money, and massively ramp up our athletic programs.
Is it true that Tech will host the tourn. and not play in it???? Been there and done that---Can you think of the att??? Well I think I will go from Hawi to Ruston because of the food and the good times ---Glad we are in our situation!!!!
I still haven't really experienced pre-game at the Tigue... Just walked straight to the press box... I'll be there to call Wednesday's game... Who wants to feed me at their tailgate??? :-)
That is incorrect. The ump ruled that Goulas did not try to get out of the way of the ball (or leaned into it). If that is the case, it is a ball. It was a 2-2 count before the pitch. After, it became a full count. He never said it hit the bat. If that were the case, it would still have been 2-2.
But the baseball gods came into play with Goulas bombing one. I can't remember the last time an ump called back a batter after a HBP due to him not getting out of the way. Jay talks about that all the time, saying that if it is still a rule, it is borderline non-existent.
That was the explanation given by the TV announcers. Later in the game they announced that he was called back due to him not trying to get out of the way. So at the time of my post I was under the impression that he was called back because the umpire said the ball hit his bat.
Was any explanation given to why the Tech pitcher went into the dugout for a while in the middle of a inning.
