After another frustrating weekend, UL's baseball team returns home this week for its final two non-conference games of the regular season.
Last week was a microcosm of the struggles this year for the Ragin' Cajuns (22-25). They jumped out to early leads against LSU and twice against a top 10 team in Nebraska but lost all three games after struggling at the plate and in the field in the late innings. That included a 5-3 loss to LSU and a pair of 4-3 losses to Nebraska, which moved up a spot to No. 5 in the latest Baseball America rankings.
In the three games, UL combined for 45 strikeouts - the team had 23 hits - and recorded as many errors as runs (nine).
