Thread: Louisiana Pursues Linebackers

A local player MAY help draw an extra 12 or so folks. A non-local Louisiana player MAY draw an extra 5 folks. If we increase Louisiana signees by 10, that MIGHT get us an extra 75 people per game. When talking of trying to reach crowd attendance of 35,000...an extra 75 people (maybe) is NOTHING.

Sign the BEST players possible...then WIN! THAT will increase your crowds.

Win baby win!!! I go to watch the Cajuns to see them WIN, not some Louisiana recruit. Now if the Louisiana recruit is awesome and helping us WIN then ok, but I am not driving to my cousins in LC or in Hammond to tell them hey I just watched UL play with a bunch of local flavor, and listen to them say, yeah but you Lost!

I want Hud and company after the absoulte best players from Lafayette, Acadiana, Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Nebraska, etc. just WIN baby WIN!

Who knows the true influence of instate players, but winning and community involvement help drive ticket sales and attendance. Louisiana should already have billboards up about date season tickets go on sale and the Southern game. IMO! Hell where is the pub for NO bowl victory, we got a very small header on the website. We have I-10 and 49 plastered them roads with Louisiana stuff. All we have is a sign with an arrow! Yea turn here. You know the traveling on those roads, let em know we run this area of Louisiana and we coming for theirs tomorrow.

On linebackers, we got Posey and White committed so far but man if we could have got Walton with them.

Can HUD go out and recruit someone to market UL?

Southern miss is going after White pretty hard. Wouldn't surprise me if they land Avery and White. Hope we have someone else in the cards bc our lb prospects have been slipping through the cracks.

That being said, if we get posey and white along with Granier, would make for a formidable bunch.

I doubt it, but it seems like we would have someone to.

Getting Posey and the transfer of Grainer, with what we have coming back at LB, I think we okay. But can u imagine if we got Walton too.
