I am happy with Marlin. I think he will get us where we need to get. Sometimes you take steps back but doesn't mean the journey isn't going somewhere. Just a minor step back. We can beat Ga St and WKU in the tourney, we just didn't this week.

dont put words in my mouth i never called any of our guys soft, soft implies a lack of will. i met shawn when he first got here and he was very quiet, he has beefed up a bit but he needs to mentally beef up with some attitude is all im saying. Play mean, if you are going to draw the foul draw it for a dunk in someones face and get in there face.

Ivory and shawn are nearly the exact build-granted ivory had a 48 inch standing vertical- but he got in opponents heads and stayed there, mitchell was the same. Dude played like his daughter was being held for ransom in the paint

shawn isnt soft you dont AVERAGE a double double by being soft, he just needs to be abducted by a mad scientist and half some horrible false memories implanted is all, anyone know a guy?

It's simple. Play better basketball. The refs had a bit to do with it towards the end of the first half, but wku went on an umpteen to 1 run between the 1st and 2nd half. We've got some great players and I believe Marlin is doing a good job, but basketball needs to rise to the occasion. Baseball, softball, football, are all representing. Both men's and women's basketball just can't seem to take that next step ( although the girls have made significant strides since the past few seasons.)

This team, needs to continue to play hard and work on going to the basket STRONG, so they can either make the lay up and or draw the foul. Free throws the past two games killed us! How is it these 2 teams shoot the free throws so well and we do not?

Who was it that recently was honored by UL at halftime this season who shot free throws and made them, like with his eyes closed and turned backwards with his shooting hand tied.

This cat should be paid big to come hold clinics with these players of ours so we could pick up our free throws to above 80%! Really, whomever is working with them either is inadequate or does not work then enough. Something?

The people who are laughing at and bad mouthing Payton and Long are complete jackasses. Neither guy is perfect but both guys work their asses off every game. Long works the entire time on the boards and throws himself on the court after balls. Payton struggles at the line but his jumper has actually gotten better - he does need to keep working on it for sure but you cannot doubt how much work he puts in. Y'all are acting like he had a terrible game and he had 16 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks. How many times does he create wide open shots for other players?

How about we appreciate the great players we have when we have them instead of comparing them to past players?
