Well the coach ran way, WAY onto the court to call the timeout. I think that also set Marlin off.

Not to mention that there was some debate as to whether WKU had possession when the TO was called because I seem to remember the ball being in the air and about to be stolen when the whistle blew. I have the game DVRed so I may rewatch to see what actually happened.

From what I saw...wku coach either said something or made a gesture to marlin as marlin was telling the ref something about the timeout. Marlin was approaching the ref making his case and he was turning to go back towards our bench when he abruptly turned toward wku coach. So something he heard or saw set him off.

i watched the replay a few times and it looks like marlin said a few choice and deserving words to kick it into overdrive, its a tight shot on marlin though so i cant see any action from across the centerline to see if it was provoked. i for one hope it wasn't provoked and bob was on the offensive, i like me some fightin words.

According to Jay, he mentioned that Ray Harper had spent all night on the court which is supposed to be against the rules that the officials were supposed to really clamp down on this year. According to Jay, he didn't remember Harper ever being told to get off the court once all night and apparently, this is sort of taboo when you do this on someone else's court where you would expect to get protected if you are the home team. Then, Harper runs out on the court while their guy is in the air with the ball and its out of his hands when they issue the T.O. Marlin did not take too kindly to him running onto the court and after he mentioned this to Harper and was telling the official, Harper lost it himself and his thug assistant coaches started talking ____.

I watched the DVR... Ball was stolen BEFORE the whistle blew for the time-out. Pretty obvious. And the Cajuns did have a 3 on 1 that would have (hopefully) ended with a dunk and a 4-point game. Oh well. We'll never know.

Remember both EP and Shawn are still young.
Shepard has a torn meniscus. Prob out rest of season

Young, young? EP is a third year starter, and Long sat out a year as a red shirt transfer. Long should be a junior, and by age EP an overaged sophomore just as he is an underaged junior. Neither could be called young in years or experience.

Combined they have 4 years (total) of on court D1 experience.

Not IMO, they both played most of the current season, so Long has three years of practice, and the bulk of two seasons playing. He made all conference as a red shirt freshman last year. EP a similar thing, and played for the USA, he has plenty of game time experience.

We are not young in those two positions by any reasonable understanding of 'young' in college sports.

By age EP would be an average age sophomore. His birthday is during the basketball season. He is about to turn 20.
