It is amazing how some people blame Marlin's shortcomings on the Robert Lee era. I like Bob Marlin, with that said I'm starting to think he may not be the right fit. I can be a big boy and admit, I haven't been a supporter of the program like I was during the Fletcher and Jessie Evans era. But I attended today's game, and it was the second one I attended this season. Let's just say I'm not impressed. This team lacks quality inside guys and shooters, on top of all that their defensive effort in the last two minutes was pitiful. People can bash the Jessie Evans all they want, but those guys came to play every night and a nationally televised game always brought about a great effort. I like Bob, but let's stop making excuses. This team lacks D1 depth and it shows when they play the better teams on the schedule. I long for Saturday nights in the dome, we experienced 10-12 years ago, with 8,000 to 9,000 fans so energetic about basketball. Bash Marty, Jessie, and Robert all you want, but all three of those guys brought us to the dance. At the rate we are going now, a conference championship game is far-fetched.

Exactly what I was asking earlier. He has no mid or three point range. He only drives. And with no real consistent shooter to dish to, it makes him really predictable. From what I have read about him, many NBA teams have him on their radar because he showed how he would play with comparable talent around him at U-19 Worlds. He really needs to get better at shooting from anywhere outside the paint, including free throws. Sky is the limit for this young man, all he needs to do is keep working on his game.

Fly in Dwayne Mitchell. Now that is a man that brings it. You want to talk about wanting it? Dwayne Mitchell was the man. There was no soft play with that man. Dunk you very much. I am tired of these soft players. Payton and Long NBA? Lmao! Too soft.

I am happy with Marlin. I think he will get us where we need to get. Sometimes you take steps back but doesn't mean the journey isn't going somewhere. Just a minor step back. We can beat Ga St and WKU in the tourney, we just didn't this week.

dont put words in my mouth i never called any of our guys soft, soft implies a lack of will. i met shawn when he first got here and he was very quiet, he has beefed up a bit but he needs to mentally beef up with some attitude is all im saying. Play mean, if you are going to draw the foul draw it for a dunk in someones face and get in there face.

Ivory and shawn are nearly the exact build-granted ivory had a 48 inch standing vertical- but he got in opponents heads and stayed there, mitchell was the same. Dude played like his daughter was being held for ransom in the paint

shawn isnt soft you dont AVERAGE a double double by being soft, he just needs to be abducted by a mad scientist and half some horrible false memories implanted is all, anyone know a guy?
