Yes, it has. However, let's get a reality check. Today we played the 6th ranked team in the nation at their place and coulda, shoulda won both games. That does NOT suck. The way we lost both games does suck. And it has been the M.O. of this team all year long. We've played some good ball lately, but keep making costly mistakes at key times - throwing the ball away to keep an inning alive or allowing a runner to score, striking out with runners in scoring position, etc. We've got to stop that. I'm not sure that is possible at this point in the season. Looks like another "wait 'til next year" sport. Way too many of that this year.
Hornets win 101-82! I will drink to that. Go bees!
Did Danny F. make the trip? I think in the 14th I would have used him, not Harmon.
What gets lost in in the game is Mike Cook's 7 inning gem.
Disappointing loss, but Cook and Robichaux looked great. ( Robe could start some next year.) We played the 6th ranked team to the wall with 6 freshman in the second game.
Guillory should catch every game even when Moody is pitching. We need his bat. Gisclair looked timid at the plate and is not the same person he was last year.
Was wondering why Logan would have not gone in earlier with Bowman struggling at the plate.
No doubt our ticket to any regional is thru the sunbelt conference tourny and having it here you never know. Possibly the losses last night will teach the young players to see how a good team comes back to win.
This has been a frustrating year, but I do see in the young players hope for the future.
Hope Hawkins decides to return also.

That is a shame. UL can hang tough with anyone... but we cannot seem to keep defensive mistakes out of our play, or overpower the opponent in order to make mistakes irrelevant. Errors have been costly.
Unfortunately, these games had no significance at this juncture. We are all about tournament at this point.
I don't know about you, but running off 3 wins against "BCS" conference opponents would have set us up with the momentum to take into the end of the conference season and tournament. If we do win the sunbelt tourney, this could have kept us from being the 64 seed. It's almost a sure thing now, pending a conference tourney win.
They not winning the Conference Tourney so this is all a mute point.
