Have no clue let him pitch one more than pull him pitching a great game, if only benzel could have made that play in 9th.

Sure ... Tony wanted to stretch Justin and use him against the two right-handed hitters to begin the bottom of the 13th inning. Then when the third hitter came to the plate (which was a left-handed hitter), the plan was to go to Solich.

Another benefit here ... Solich gets introduced into the game in a situation that is much less pressure than beginning an inning. That is, no runners on base, two outs, and facing a left-handed batter. Now Solich has some pitches under his belt and will be in a better position to pitch the 14th.
